DATE 16 – THE INEXPERIENCED ONE

First date questions NOT to ask on a first meeting and what they actually mean:
When was your last relationship? ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ Why are you such a failure in love?
Have you ever been in love? ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ Let me judge how much you are over your ex…
Why are you on a dating site? ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ How desperate are you really?
Do you want children? ⇒ ⇒ ⇒ How soon can we have sex?
Generally, you get asked at least one of these on a first date but to be asked all 4 is unusual and suggests that the date has been researching questions to ask before coming out to meet you. Not a good sign.
We met at Marble Arch to explore our way through Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park.
I spent our long wait in the queue learning all about his interesting heritage- a beautiful blend of South Sudanese and English. He also told me that I was his first date in a year from the OKStupid app.
This became evident later on by the slightly inappropriate questions I kept getting asked (see above) and the detailed praise of his last girlfriend. He also omitted to mention that he had a two-hour journey home so he politely wandered around Hyde Park until 9pm getting quieter and quieter.
Although he sent me the photos he’d taken of the big wheel, he hasn’t messaged since so clearly I scared him off dating for another year.
